Mrs. Aiken and Family,
I worked for Mr. Aiken for a number of years in Savannah. He was always a gentlemen! He treated me and everyone with respect and I appreciated that so much. I enjoyed celebrating his birthday on the riverboat, laughing at the bank Christmas parties and other special events, but mostly I enjoyed working with such a "good" banker.
God Bless you!

Dear Mrs. Aiken,
I was sorry to learn of the passing of your husband, and I offer my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I didn't have the privilege of knowing Ike well, but I know he was a fine gentleman who loved his family and helped make Georgia a better place to live. He will be remembered and deeply missed.

Louise, our love and deepest sympathy. Everyone will miss Ike so much, including in particular my brother Ed MacKethan and his wife Elsie. Lee (Corky) and I remember well the delightful time(s) we had with you two with Ed and Elsie and seeing all the family things in your house, especially since it is our family also.
Our condolences to you all. Love, Virginia Lord MacKethan Kitchin

We consider it a real privilege to have known Ike and to have been treated as though we were members of the Aiken family. He was indeed, a fine southern gentleman and will be missed.

Its said that "life given to us by nature is short but the memory of a well spent life is eternal". Just from this biography alone, it is clear how much of himself Mr. Aiken give to others. May God hold your family close during this sad time.
