J.D. Stanfield Obituary
He is preceded in death by his son, James David Stanfield, Sr.
J.D. was owner operator of J&V American Mobile Home Supply. He was in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was the co-pastor of New Vision Baptist Church. J.D. was an avid fisherman as well as a faithful husband, father, grandfather and servant of the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Vinita Stanfield; son and daughter in law, Tony and Tonya Stanfield; two grandsons, Caleb Bowman and James David Stanfield, Jr.; sister, Dorothy Gardner; brother, L.C. Stanfield; brother in law, Dean Johnson and his wife, Debbie; sister in law, Bonnie Hancock; granddaughter, Kristy James and Grandson, Richard Matthews and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Fairhaven funeral Home in Garden City.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev. Gary Bradham and Rev. Eddie Deas officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
