Jacqueline Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 29, 2020.
Wilson, Jacqueline Andrea Bonczyk SARASOTA, Fla. Jackie Wilson passed peacefully on Sunday afternoon, January 26, 2020, surrounded by family and friends. She was 81. She was born in Albany on November 6, 1938. Jackie grew up in Loudonville with her siblings and parents, the late John and Natalie (Bytner) Bonczyk. She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey Wilson (Karen), Todd Wilson, and Kimberly Zayhowski; grandchildren, Bryan Wilson - father of great-grandchild Hayden - Jennifer Koch (Ted), and Brandon Zayhowski. She was predeceased by a sister Natalie Bulmer (Jack); and is survived by her sister Valerie Introne (James); and several nieces and nephews. Jackie had special love for Janyce, Walter, and all of the Bardrams, and the Milne School, class of '56. She enjoyed years of Cape Cod family vacations, her baby grand, and her dogs. She retired from the New York State Division of Budget in 2002 and moved to Sarasota to escape New York winters in 2015. She was loving, always kind, and welcoming, with great friends everywhere. We are planning a celebration of life in the Albany area later in 2020. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jackie's name to the American Cancer Society.

To all her friends and family that miss her, I always have to smile when I think of our peppy gal. Not to say she didn't go thru the Trials of Job, when you kids were little, or getting that State Test taken for employment was a doozy, but My Gosh, our Milne Days were a joyful time with her spark and wit, and driving skills. and our many slumber parties and movies in Albany, with a traction company bus back to Loudonville for the slumber parties in those early years.
Those were the Happy Days that she was the Center of. Love to you all from Lois and all Classmates from Milne and the Loudonville School.

I was blessed to know Jackie through her beloved niece, Judi. She was kind, generous, and had a wonderful sense of humor and infectious smile. A quiet leader of a beautiful family. My condolences to her family and friends on the loss of this beautiful, gentle, and very special woman.

The Class of '56 at Milne are all saddened at the loss of our special friend. We all loved when she'd say: "I'm Blonde, I'm Polish - what did you expect!?" She brightened all our lives, and we miss her sweet smile already. Love to her loving family. Lois Gallager and her many classmates.

Jeff, Todd and Kim - my heartfelt condolences. Her loss is personal for so many of us who loved and cherished her, though yours is of course most acute. I have too many to count moments in my childhood where she was there for me. Urbane without pretension, generous to a fault, wonderful counsel without judgment - I enjoyed every conversation we ever shared together. It is easy to see why the three of you became the wonderful unique people you are. May you be comforted by the love she shared with you.
