Jaime L. Campuzano

Jaime "Jimmy" L. Campuzano, 31, of Marengo, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2017 in Marengo. Born March 11, 1986 in Woodstock; he was the son of Hericeldo Campuzano and Debra (Egland) Campuzano.

Jimmy lived his life passionately with his charm, amazing smile, huge heart and undeniable dimples. He never took life for granted and lived each day to the fullest. He was a very motivated young man and once he made up his mind about doing something, no one could change it. His family and friends were the most important thing in his life. Throughout his young life he had many ups and downs. The best day in his life was without a doubt on September 9th, 2015, which is the day his son, Logan, was born. Jimmy was in awe of his son and he was an amazing father that would do anything for his child. Jimmy played many sports, baseball, soccer, football and volleyball. His love for music of all kinds inspired "DJ Zano" where he would customize, create and mix music for all types of events including volunteering his time at charitable events. DJ Zano had many followers and upcoming events he was working on.

Some of Jimmy's fondest memories were spending time with his Grandpa TT up north, St. Germain, WI. He loved to snowmobile, racing, archery, fishing, target shooting and many more fun outdoor activities. Most of all he just loved spending time with his Grandpa doing anything.

He had a special bond with each of his brothers, so much that no one will ever understand or replace. They all just took care of each other like only brothers can in every aspect of their lives. His brothers will continue to help raise his son to be just as awesome as Jimmy was.

His cousins, aunts and uncles will forever hold in their hearts the special times with Jimmy at family gatherings or when he just wanted to stop by and hang out.

Jimmy made so many friends throughout the years. Some, when he was little and others more recently. You will not find one person who didn't like him because he made friends wherever he went.

Tim Joosten, his stepfather who preceded Jimmy in death loved the boys as his own. He always taught them to be gentleman and to respect and help others.

When Jimmy met his girlfriend Nickkie in 2012 he knew she was the one. He finally met the love of his life. Over the years they dreamed about the future and promises that they made to each other which was only the beginning. Raising Logan together and plans for his future were always a top priority.

Jimmy and his brother Jermy spent a lot of time with their grandparents, Wanda and Lowell, known as Grandma with the black hair and Grandpa with the no hair, who helped raise the boys in the dome house in Marengo. They had many adventures including a Wild West trip to Arizona.

His father, Tele was a great influence, always teaching him right from wrong and that hard work pays off. Most of all, to love and support his family and always be there for each other. They had vacations together which included cruising and visiting family in Texas. Jimmy also worked with Tele at 3 Brothers in Woodstock, which is where he learned about what a great work ethic means.

His mother, Debby taught him to be patient and kind but most of all to never judge people by their cover. People are beautiful inside and out if you just get to know them and listen. Kindness and understanding gets you far in life, so always be respectful, is what his mother would tell him among many other wonderful things.

Jimmy will always be remembered and he touched many lives in many ways. He may be gone from this earth but never ever be forgotten.

He is survived by his father, Hericeldo "Tele" Campuzano; mother, Debra (Alex Gray) Joosten; son, Logan Jacob Campuzano; girlfriend, Nicole "Nikkie" Shafer; siblings, Jermy Campuzano, Daniel Joosten, Dylan Joosten, Jesus Campuzano, Heather Thompson and Janet DeVito; grandparents, Fransisca Martinez of Houston, TX, Herman Campuzano of Morelia, Mexico, Terry (Barb) Egland of St. Germain, WI and Wanda (Lowell) Sandersfeld - Sun City, AZ; many aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends who were thought of as family.

Visitation 9 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson Street, Marengo. Burial will take place in Marengo City Cemetery, Marengo. Online condolences may be submitted at marengo-unionfuneralhome.com
