Jim's 53rd birthday on Dec 17 will not go unnoticed as a time to remember the goodness of his short life. A mother should never outlive her children and my heart goes out to Marge on that day. Jimmie was one of a kind - no doubt there is a big hole in the hearts of his sister, brother, grandson and daughters. His "celebration of life" capped off by the military honors was a meaningful tribute. Without Jimmie, Kirkland won't be the same for those of us who visit. With sincere sympathy.

To my girls,my babies,
I can't begin because there is so many things to say. Just know that you all were his pride and joy, and we will get through this. My babies and you will always be, even though you are all grown and beautiful inside and out. Daddy loved you with all his heart and he was very proud of you,and you need to hold that in your hearts forever. He will always be with you no matter what. His memory will be in our hearts forever and just remeber that you girls had his LIFETIME and no one can take that from you. May God please help me keep you all safe from harm and keep you strong. I love you all with everything that I am, and Yes Jim I loved you too. May God Bless.

My family and his were neighbors for 14 years on North Street. I grew up around Jimmy and he always looked out for my brother and I when we were little. I loved sneaking over to the garage to watch Shorty, Mike and Jimmy work on trucks or whatever needed fixing. I always walked away with a new vocabulary word to share with my friends... Jimmy was a good man and I already miss his train whistle. He never met a stranger - and always made himself comfortable with and around anyone or anything.
I wish love and lots of prayers to Jimmy's family and friends. His spirit of fun, friendship and family will live on in all of you!!!

So sorry of your loss. Jim was everyone's friend. Even if you only knew him a short time. When his grils were young. They were so very cute, and I loved my sister watching them. I woul go visit my sister, just too see the grils. Life is so short, and he left way before his time. I do know God don't make mistakes, so I am praying for all of you. I baby sat Mikes 2 gils lots. Marge you are such a loving "grandma". Thanks for keeping me in touch with your grandkids. Let me know, if I can be of any help. No words, can help at this time. Know I am praying. Diane Capes Disch
