MITCHELL James Joseph “ Jim” Mitchell, 56, died Thursday, January 17, 2002 after a long battle with an extended illness. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his son, James (Keri) Mitchell and their 2 children; preceded in death by his eldest son, William Joseph “ Joey” Mitchell daughter-in-law, Melisa Mitchell and their son; mother, Rosetta Mitchell; 2 sisters, Frances Mitchell, Toni Rose (William) Davis. He served the community as a volunteer fireman and paramedic for many years in Pennsylvania before relocating to Florida. Even after death he continues to serve the community by donating his body for research to the Anatomic gift Foundation. A memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2002, for friends and family at the Dinsmore Church of God- 10747 U.S. 1 North. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com

So long Jim, you'll be missed. He was a very compassionate person who would give the shirt off his back. In this life, he certainly gave a whole lot more than what he got. Your rewards are waiting and your streets are now paved with gold.
