Janice Anne Krantz' Celebration of Life

July 14,1943 - April 25, 2023

Janice (Jan) Anne Krantz, 79, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Born July 14, 1943, in Bay City, Michigan, presently resided in Ocala, Florida with her husband Ken. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and follower of Jesus Christ, her Savior.

Janice is survived by her husband Kenneth (Ken) R. Krantz, who were married for 61 loving years. Jan and Ken first met when they were both 14 years old on a blind date.

She is also survived by 3 loving children, Kenneth L. Krantz (Lori), Orange Park, FL, Amy Krantz-Bulger, Nashville, TN., and Heidi Krantz-Zafar (Saleem), Fernandina Beach, FL. Jan had 9 grandchildren but was preceded in death by two of her grandsons Luke Bulger and Corey Leduc. She is survived by grandchildren Kendra Massicotte (Phil), Kenny Krantz (Amanda), Kaleb Krantz (Xenia), Nicole Stagner (Corey), Matthew Bulger, Mark Bulger, and Jacob Hatt. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, Philip Massicotte, Cecilia Krantz, Sophia Krantz, Kaedmon Krantz, Leo Massicotte, Nathaniel Massicotte, and Adelyn Massicotte. Jan loved her family so very much and was a mighty prayer warrior praying daily for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Janice was involved with many Christian organizations throughout her life holding many positions. She was a member of First Baptist Church downtown Jacksonville, Fl. Her greatest gift in life was the Gift of Hospitality. Jan enjoyed hosting Sunday School Class Functions and Bible Studies in their home after becoming a reborn Christian at the age of 33 years. Janice worked with Ken at his construction company and other businesses. In 1999 Ken along with Janice founded The Barakel Foundation, Inc. with a 501(c)(3) designation which involved Aviation, Construction and Medical. Janice on several occasions traveled internationally with Ken for both business and missionary work and would share the gospel or plant a seed with everyone she met.

At the age of 57, Janice graduated college Magna Cum Laude with honors from St. Johns River State College majoring in International Business and Business Law. Janice also took the time to mentor and teach handicapped students with different disabilities and loved doing it. She said, "I loved all my student kids."

Jan was so loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed but we will see her again soon!

So sad to hear of the passing of this kind, loving, compassionate and caring wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend Janice! Such a beautiful and loving woman.....a great example of what and how a wife should be as she continuously demonstrated her love for Ken over 60+ years! Simply Admirable. She will be sorely missed.

Wishing the entire family much comfort and peace during this trying time!

Blessings,

The Losasso's (Ron, Liz & Gabby)

My husband and I met Jan over 11 years ago (Our daughter Xenia is married to Jan´s Grandson Kaleb) and after meeting Jan for the first time we felt so welcomed into the Krantz family. Jan surely loved to entertain and I always loved how Jan would dress for the occasion.
We will miss Jan at the Krantz´s family gatherings. It was such a pleasure knowing her and sharing family stories together.
Our prayers and Hugs to the Krantz family.

I, along with my deceased husband Ron, met as backyard neighbors in the 1970´s.
Their three children and our three children became great friends also.
I was so sad learning about Jan´s passing and the friendship we shared as couples.

Wishing Ken and their wonderful family God´s precious comfort and peace!
Love and God´s continued blessings to all the family.

Jan shared her gift of hospitality with me once when I was home from the Philippines. She & Ken opened their lovely guest room, shared meals, advice & encouragement. I was in & out a lot but they never seemed to mind. They truly blessed me & made my home ministry easier.
Ken, I´m praying for you & your family.

Jan was a very special friend to me. I could always count on her when I needed someone to host a class social. God gave her the gift of hospitality and was always glad to open up her home for Christian functions. We had so many good times together setting up for class socials and many late nights making sure everything was just right before we stopped. She was a joy and a blessing to work alongside of. I'm sad that I won't be able to pick the phone up to give her a call and hear her sweet voice, but I'm happy knowing where she is, and I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. With Sympathy and Love to Ken and the entire Krantz family...Sharron Wilson

I can't say enough about this beautiful and amazing woman! She was such a big part of my life. There are so many memories that I could share but my favorite of course is that she officiated the wedding of my late husband and I in 1992. We shared 23 beautiful years together before he passed away in February of 2013. It was a beautiful ceremony that she took great pride in the verses that she shared as we tied the knot. She was a dear friend then and I always considered her one. I will cherish my fond memories of this beautiful soul and send my continued prayers to her family whom I also love dearly
