Jean M. Mincarelli

Jean Mincarelli, 82, of Rotterdam died Thursday July 21, 2011 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Leo and Gertrude (Dugan) Close. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady. Jean was employed as a Clerk for the Schenectady County Sheriff Department. She was a past President of the Rotterdam Elks Ladies Auxiliary and a past President of the Highbridge Civic Association. Jean was also a past Secretary of the Rotterdam Senior Citizens. She is predeceased by one brother Joseph Close. Jean is survived by her husband David Mincarelli whom she married September 22, 1951, her daughters Noreen Fyvie of Guilderland and Ramona Jackson (Garry) of Gloversville, one brother Michael Close (Joan) of Tonawanda, NY and one sister Patricia Jaycox (William) of Florida, four grandchildren-Nicole Fyvie, Mark Fyvie, Jamie Dwojakowski and Tracie Bates. three great grandchildren-Henry Araujo, Zachari Bates and Lillian Jean Bates as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday 9AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Sunday evening 6-8PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Memory’s Garden in Colonie.
