Joan Bowman Obituary
Joan was born in Syracuse, NY to the late James and Kathryn Sheedy. She graduated from the Convent School in Syracuse, NY in 1951. She received a Bachelor of Science in the Humanities from Le Moyne College, also in Syracuse, in 1955. She taught grade school at the Pebble Hill School in Syracuse and St Joseph Grammar School in Keyport, NJ.
Joan married Francis Bowman in 1955. They lived in Syracuse and moved to Morganville, NJ in 1963. She had been a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Clement's Church in Matawan, NJ. Joan and Francis later moved to the shore residing at Sea Verge in Long Branch, NJ.
Beside her loving husband of 60 years, she had 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Brian and his partner Juan C. Reyes Perez of Enfield, CT; Kathleen and her husband Alfred Denio, MD of Lewisburg, PA (Erin and Grace); James of Hockessin, DE; Kevin and his wife Brenda, also in Hockessin, DE (Colin, Kate, and Liam). She had a daughter in her heart - Elizabeth Walling of Long Branch, NJ. She is remembered fondly by numerous family members and friends.

Only today did I learn of Joan's death. It brings back many memories of our "gang" at CBA and Convent school. How blessed we were and indeed are. Frank,long time friend, peace and all good things to you and all dear.
