Joan Thibodeau Obituary
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend. She enjoyed her many friendships and being surrounded by her grandchildren. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed shopping.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gary of Milford; four children, Lisa French and her husband, Robert, of Old Town, Guy Doughty and his wife, Ami, of North Carolina, Tammy Moore and her husband, Jacob, of Greenbush, and Thomas Thibodeau and his wife, Renee, of Old Town; seven grandchildren, Steven Vandez, Hailie Moore, Lucas Moore, Hunter Thibodeau, Matthew French, Olivia Thibodeau, and Paisley Moore; and special friends, Roxanne Tardiff and Sandra Watson. She was predeceased by a son, Alan Floyd Doughty; and a brother, Dean Eastman.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. There will be no formal funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association by visiting www.lung.org. Notes of condolence may be left at www.birminghamfuneralhome.com.

Was very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I know it brought her great joy to be able to go home and be with her family. That was her motivation and got her through some rough times. May your good memories bring you comfort and smiles during the days ahead. Rest in peace Joan!

Although I only knew Joan for a short time, I knew right from the start that her family was her strength, love and world. She enjoyed talking about all of you Gary, children and her beloved grandchildren - she had beautiful pics of you that she was always showing off- she has a beautiful loving family :) Another thing I remember is her being a sign of strength and inspiration to the other patients that would come and sit in "her" day room and always offered kind words and support . She was one of those "special" patients that I will always remember -her sitting in the day room smiling and laughing -she would want all of us to remember her like that. I am so sorry to all of her family friends for your loss, in time find comfort in the good memories.
