A memorial service for John Arthur Boudreau, 52, of Coquille, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Hope Covenant Reformed Church, 580 E. Ninth St., in Coquille. Pastor Ron Joling will officiate.

John was born April 3, 1954, in Wyandotte, Mich., to Charles Arthur and Eleanor V. Boudreau. He died May 14, 2006, in Coquille.

He attended school in Lawndale, Calif., and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He married Carolyn Hagglund, who became his beloved wife, on July 5, 1986, in Hawthorne, Calif. He was a devoted husband, and they moved to Southern Oregon in November 1991.

John was the owner of Inspiring Home Improvements, doing remodel and repair work throughout Coos County. He held the position of president in the Coquille Chapter of Narcotics Anonymous for many years. He served as a deacon in his church, Hope Covenant Reformed Church, for more than seven years.

John enjoyed camping, exploring the local countryside, white water rafting, building projects of all kinds, spending time with his family and playing pinochle. He made some mean barbecue ribs that were enjoyed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Boudreau of Coquille; mother-in-law, Evelyn Drake of North Bend; sisters, Bettyann Boudreau of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Janet Boudreau of Reno, Nev.; brother Danny Boudreau of Alameda, Calif.; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Betty and Bill Vaughn of Dora, and June and Rick Hinojosa of Bandon; brothers-in-law and their wives, Al and Joann Hagglund of Rocky Hill, Conn., and Al and Rae Hagglund of Christmas Valley; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews throughout the country, as well as many cousins in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Narcotics Anonymous, attn: Rhonda, P.O. Box 1511, Coos Bay, OR 97420.

Arrangements are under the direction of Myrtle Grove Funeral Service, 396-3158.

Carol,

Sorry for your loss. My words could never express how much sympathy I have for you at this time.I wish I had some great words of wisdom, but the only ones I can think of are "in time" and "with time" and "take time".
