just now learning of the passing of dear Rev Cameron Cairns. Many happy memories of times at St Michael's and being in the Choir (with Alan Crabtree, organist). Cameron was such a special influence, he will be remembered fondly.. Condolences to family.

My condolences to all family members . Cameron was our priest at Holy Trinity Anglican in Hawkesbury when I was a young teen . I remember , fondly , the singing of plainchant and his traditional approach to Liturgy . He seemed to balance this with a very earthy sense of humour , and the approach to life with great vigour and much laughter . No wonder he was so popular with so many , of all ages .

I will never forget the many happy times with Cameron and his prayerful support shown to me in times of need. Loved him dearly.

I was hitchhiking east from Ottawa and got stranded when they closed the road in Hawkesbury. We had no money and no place to go. In hindsight we were very dumb and vulnerable. Rev Cairns let us sleep in the church and made a great impression on two silly teenagers! We have never forgotten,

I thought the world of Rev. Cairns. He was the parish priest when I was growing up at St Michael and All Angels. He introduced us kids to plainchant and the beauty of liturgy, challenged us, ennobled us, and taught us. He was unique. All consolation to his family.

When he was in Perth at St. James Anglican Church, he welcomed us when another church refused to baptize our son. He had such a warm and welcoming personality. Rest in Peace.
