I just this a.m. heard o Jack's passing. I'm sure he is in a better place and that you will all miss him. A cute story my Mom told was when Jack delivered groceries to her home and he asked to lick the bowl from the cake she was making. Mom was Georgiana Thiebeau by the way. Long time ago. Sandy and family,

Nancy and I were saddened when Mom told us of Jack's passing. I remember the good times that you and Jack shared with my parents.
Jack was always willing to answer questions when I was determining which accounting path to pursue in college and he always showed interest in my career progress.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to make it back to Versailles. Please know that you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sandy I am so sorry about Jack - it was a privilege to know him - loved his sense of humor he was always so funny - I remember how he used to bike to the pool and all the ladies loved him - and I always admired how you took such good care of him. God is taking care of him now as he will take care of your on your next journey. You and your family are constantly in my prayers and I pray that the Lord will give you peace and comfort. Remember 2Cor. 5:8 - "To be absent of the body is to be PRESENT with Jesus". Doesn't get any better than that....

Sandra, we have many happy memories about being with you & Jack at family gatherings and the fun trips we took together. Jack was a great father and provider and Sandra - what an inspiration you were in the great care you provided him as he struggled with PD. Do you think that there is Esther Price candy in heaven? Cindy, Debbie, David & Ed - Know that your dad was so very proud of you and will be watching over you from afar.

Jack, (Macho Man) was fun to be around with his sparkling personality and dry sense of humor. So happy my high school friend, Sandra, found her
soul mate in Versailles and to raise four exceptional children has been a blessing. Jack was a 'trooper' holding his own with PD with nurse Sandra
by his side. Jack, you will be missed.....Love, Susan & Dick Riley...

I loved Jack DeLaet...his sweet spirit, his sly laugh, his gentle way. He was already dealing with PD when I him 20+ years ago. I love how he forged through life - buoyed my the love and support of his family, especially Sandy - determined to enjoy everything he could, including his beloved sweets. Ralph Waldo Emerson suggested that success includes leaving the world a better place whether through a garden patch, a child's laugh or a redeemed social condition..."to know that even one life has lived a fuller span or breathed a little easier because you have lived - that is to have succeeded." Jack DeLaet was a success. Cindy, Deb, Dave and Ed: you are his best legacy. Special love to Sandy, one of the most devoted wives and caregivers the world has known. Love to you all.
