John Fisher Obituary

John F. Fisher, 87, of West Laurel Street, Tremont, passed away Monday in Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Feb. 8. at Route 443 and Swatara Drive, Pine Grove.

Born in Pine Grove, March 11, 1920, he was a son of the late George H. and Edyth M. Zerbe Fisher.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

He worked as a coal miner for 37 years.

Fishing, hunting and racing pigeons were his favorite hobbies.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clementine Renninger Fisher; three brothers, Robert, Franklin and George F. Fisher; and four sisters, Mary Ellen Hummel, Faye Krammes, Ferne Lehman and Rae Anna Fisher.

Surviving are a daughter, Diona K. Casas, Lebanon; two granddaughters, Danielle C. Brown, Reading, Danette E., wife of John Craig Reidler, Pottsville; two great-grandchildren, Chandra C. Casas, Shickshinny, and Daniel E. Casas, Pottsville; six sisters, Lavine Nagle, Pine Grove, Annette Adams, Jonestown, Joyce Balthaser, Strausstown, Joan Cake, Auburn, Darlene Reed, Waterville, and Gloria Renninger, Pine Grove.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in H. L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Richard W. Schoenleber officiating.

There will be a viewing from 1 p.m. Friday until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.
