John 'Wayne' Monceret., 70, of Magnolia, MS passed away on July 28, 2012 at the SWRMC in McComb, MS. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM till 8 PM at Hartman-Sharkey funeral home of McComb with visitation again on Tuesday from 9 AM until services at 10 AM at the funeral home chapel. Rev Dave Hartson and Rev. Randall Griffin will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday at 1:15 PM at Green Oaks Cemetery in Baton Rouge, LA. Mr. Monceret was born January 11, 1942 in Fort Benning, GA. He was the son of the late Leon Monceret Jr., and Margaret M. 'Peaches' Chutz Monceret. He was a member of the Bala Chitto Baptist Church in Magnolia. He served on the East Baton Rouge sheriffs reserve squad. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved people and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Leon and Amelia Monceret, two brothers, Glenn Monceret and Danny A. Monceret and one grand daughter, Trinity Nicole Callender. He is survived by his wife of twenty nine happy years, Timi Monceret, seven children, Lisa Monceret Harris, Lori Monceret Gant, John Monceret, Jeremy Monceret, Tina Monceret, April M. Callender and Matt Monceret, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Monceret, two sisters, Linda Williams and Candy M. Wingate, with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Pallbearers will be Donald Rushing III, Scott Gant, Toxie Schmidt, Joe Callender Jr. Joel Aubin and Tom Allen. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Monceret, Jeremy Monceret, Jimmy Stewart Bo Dunaway.
