John Nelka Obituary
John Paul Nelka, longtime Dallas, Texas resident and benefactor to numerous local educational and charitable causes, died June 23, 2011 at the age of 82. John was born in Baltimore, Maryland, November 16, 1928 to John and Frances Wachowiak Nelka. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Adele, and children John, Jane Frances, Nancy Hampton and husband Wes; Lucie Pound and husband Barry; and four beloved grandchildren.
Visitation at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011, followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m..
The Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomasson Road, Dallas, Texas at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the John P. Nelka Scholarship Fund, Bishop Lynch High School, 9750 Ferguson Road. Dallas, Texas 7528 or the St. Pius X Educational Endowment Fund.
