I am not sure this is the same John Taylor who was my boss as a summer intern during the summers of 1964, 65, and 66, but probably is the same. I am sorry for his passing. I really enjoyed his guidance as a young student, and admired his work ethic, his kindness, and his devotion to science and to his fellow scientists.

John was one of the truly great staff members of the Laboratory. LANL looks back to the early founders, but John was a very valuable member of the staff who was always available to listen and counsel those of us who sought his advice. He will be sorely missed.

To John's Famiy:
I just read of J.W.'s passing in the Lab's update and am so sorry. John was a mentor to me, and I respected him very much. Please accept my sympathies.

We are all saddened by the loss of John. We know he will be greatly missed by his family and closest friends. May his legacy of hard work, education, social conscience and great love of this country and concern for humanity continue to be exemplefied through his children and grandchildren.

I am sorry hear of your father's passing. I remember him being an outspoken man, which I truly liked. He and my father were such good friends, and your father was there for us when ours passed. He was such a kind man to me and loved his family. Trinity-on-the-Hill has lost a lifetime supporter. All of your dad's work there will not be forgotten. I will keep your family in my prayers.
