Johnny Hinson Obituary
John Hinson was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and resided most of his life in the Tidewater area. He retired from a long career in television broadcasting after 36 years as an Operations Supervisor with WVEC and more recently as a Chief Technology Officer for Crewestone Technologies. He was preceded in death by his parents William Hinson, Ruth McCoy, his brother Gary McCoy and son Paul Hinson.
Survivors include his loving wife Carol Hinson, children Micah and Sarah Hinson, grandchildren, Chelsea, Annie, Jeremy and Aubrey Hinson, Charlotte Cash Nelson and siblings Joy O'Neal, and Rick Bray.
He was a loved member of our family, an incredibly loyal friend, and an involved member in our community.
We would love for anyone interested to join in a celebration of John's life.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, King David Section in Norfolk.
