Joseph Sediva Obituary
Joseph M. Sediva, 89, of Lansford, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital in Coaldale. He was the husband of Martha (Trimmel) Sediva.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Slezak) Sediva.
He was a graduate of Lansford High School.
Joseph worked for TWA as an airline mechanic at the JFK Airport.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Joseph was a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley in Summit Hill and was a member of the former Lansford Amvets.
Surviving along with his wife, is a brother, Thomas Sediva of California; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John J. Sediva Sr.; and sister, Sister Regine Sediva M.S.C.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial is on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Calling hours are today from 10-11 a.m. in the church.
Contributions, in Joseph's memory, may be made to St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley. Funeral arrangements have been placed in the care of the Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill. Online condolences may be shared at www.parambofh.com.
