Judy Ellen (McCoy) Bond, 79, of Pendleton, passed away Nov. 16, 2020 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 26, 1941 in Anderson and was a Pendleton resident for most of her life. Judy was a wife and homemaker as well as a long time employee of the Madison County Clerk's office where she retired. She was a 1959 graduate of Pendleton High School and a member of Pendleton Christian Church. Judy especially enjoyed family and her grandchildren's activities. She and Gary were active supporters of Pendleton Athletics. She also enjoyed traveling, mushroom hunting and working jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Gary W. Bond whom she married on Jan. 13, 1962; children, Thomas "Mike" (Keri) Bond of St. Louis, Missouri, Kathy (Jeff) Long of Fort Wayne, and Max (Trena) Bond of Anderson; grandchildren, Amber (Corey) Lawrence, Mallory (Clint) Shoemaker, Lonnie and Drew Brotherton, Bailey and Grace Hilyard, Tracy Bond, Graeme and Joel Long, and Josh and Jacob McCoy; great grandchildren, Abby, Hunter and Kaylee Tuck; brother, Charlie (Cindy) McCoy of Greensburg; brother-in-law, Len Shanks of Thousand Palms, California; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Teresa and Bill Shirley and Helen and Chauncey Robbins; and her dog, Paloma. She was preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Dave Taylor; parents, Ernest Ray and Alice McCoy; and siblings and spouses, Zoe Shanks, Vicki (Paul) Showalter, Alice (Daryll) Miracle and Ed McCoy. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Mares and Dr. Lawlor, their staff, and the nurses at St. Vincent's for the compassionate care provided throughout the years. Services at 12 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson, Indiana. Visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton. Current State health mandates require social distancing and masks be worn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions requested to Pendleton Emergency Ambulance, P.O. Box 165, Pendleton, IN 46064.
