To Lanny and Family,in honor of Karen, I send this poem.
Do Not Stand By My Grave And Weep
(by Mary Elizabeth Frye)
Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken to the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

To the Buist family--I enjoyed knowing Karen, and I know that she brought a lot into your lives--fun, creativity, and care. It is sad that her illness gradually took away her life and that she left us too soon. Blessings and love to you as you grieve her loss.

I have so many wonderful memories of staying with Karen Kay and Wannetta as a young girl. She was always so sweet and kind to me. I remember staying up late talking girl stuff together. We had our first babies at the same time. I haven't seen her or talked for many years and I know she suffered with her illness, but I loved her. I'm so sorry Aunt Donna and Ben. I love you all and my prayers are with you. Love, Robyn Storey Cutler

Rip Karen. You will be missed greatly and I hope your reunion in heaven is as good as we imagine it would be.
