Katherine "Kate" Smith Obituary
She was united in marriage to Leo Smith September 17, 1949 in Denver, CO. They moved to Wichita in 1958. Katherine was a longtime, very active member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Mary (Smircich) Stefanich; daughter, Theresa Louise Smith; son, Michael Smith; brothers, Philip and John Stefanich.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Smith of Wichita; children, Stephanie (David) Porto, Lawrence, KS, Bernard Smith, McKinney, TX, Margaret Kline, Wichita, Steve (Alison) Smith, Allen, TX; sisters, Marjorie Moranville, Denver, CO, Mary (Paul) Tilp, McMinnville, OR; grandchildren, Laura (Ben) Atkins, Chris Porto, Steve Kline, Jon (Traci) Kline, Matthew Smith, Wesley Smith; great grandson, Theodore Atkins.
Rosary 7pm, Friday, March 28, 2014 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial 10am, Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Anne Catholic Church.
A memorial has been established with St. Anne Catholic School, 2801 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS 67217.

I remember all of the times that Katie and Leo would be at my folk's house for the monthly pinochle game. My,our families go back so many years and have so many connections. The memories of your Mom are flooding my thoughts....God Bless You all.
