Kelly Kalichman

Kelly Howard Kalichman passed away peacefully at age 61 after an arduous battle with cancer. Born in Montreal on August 19th, 1962, Kelly was an incredible force of nature throughout his storied life. Kelly is survived by his two children, Izzy and Jake, who want to encourage those who knew their dad to always be fashionably late, speak loudly and carry a big stick. His beloved wife BG held his hand throughout his hospice stay at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. We are all eternally grateful for the care and support of the amazing hospice staff.

Kelly left an extraordinary mark on the people he loved and who loved him. A modern-day Renaissance man, Kelly could be heard from down the block with his low, booming voice and fantastic wit. Ever ready to be seen as well, the man knew how to dress.

Janna King Kalichman, his ex-wife and mother of his two children, was also along for the challenging ride, and reminded by Kelly in his final days that she had "good eggs."

In addition, Kelly is survived by his mother and father, Syd and Rose Kalichman and sister Phyllis Drori.

Kelly fervently wanted a celebration of life in his favorite place, Oregon. Family and friends will be contacted about details. Donations can be made to the Sierra Club in his honor.

He will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on in his family, charitable business efforts and his kids' band and music that he helped create.
