Larry Bartholomew Obituary
Larry was born in Towanda, Pa. on Feb. 23, 1968, the son of Kenneth and Viola Wheeler Bartholomew Sr. Larry worked at his parents' business, Rolling Acres in Wysox, Pa. for a number of years and was a co-owner of a logging business along with his brother Robert and nephew Tim until the time of his passing.
Larry loved the outdoors, hunting in Pennsylvania, Colorado and Maine, fishing at Pulaski, N.Y. and working in the woods. Larry enjoyed challenging projects, especially building construction, wood working, custom cabinetry, taxidermy and automobile and machinery mechanics. Being multitalented, he possessed the keen ability to design, construct and repair almost anything. A favorite project was customizing his 1960 Chevy Nova which he prized. His passing brings a deep loss for family and friends and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Cherie Swain; children, Larry Bartholomew Jr. of Franklindale, Brandon Bartholomew of Troy, Brittany Bartholomew of Powell; grandchildren, Jayden and Brody; parents, Kenneth Bartholomew Sr. and Viola Bartholomew of Wysox; siblings, Kenneth "Robert" Bartholomew Jr. and wife Connie of Wysox, Terry Bartholomew and Michelle Mannuel of Franklindale, James Bartholomew and wife Christy of Franklindale and Janet Bartholomew of Sayre; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Carol Chapman and James "Jimbill" Alexander, Bill and Wendy Smith; his extended family, Kevin (Stacy) Swain of Wyalusing, Craig Swain of Wyalusing, Keith (Kayla) Swain of Wyalusing, Carol (Wayne) Chapman of Wyalusing and Linda (Bill) Wilkinson of Troy; and many good friends.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with Pastor Jason Laudermilch officiating.
Interment will be in the Franklin Center Cemetery, Franklin Township, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ken and Vi my deepest heartfelt sympathies . I miss him he was a great guy and since I worked along side him as a mechanic we had many good times his smile and kindness and loud jokes always put you in the best mood. A great mechanic he was and a great friend. I will never forget any of you the Bartholomews are great people and I miss the old days very much!! God be always with all of you!!! Our thoughts & prayers are with you. May God bless & sustain you & grant you strength, peace, grace, hope, courage, serenity & a strong faith. One "glorious day" in God's timing we shall all have a great "Reunion" in Heaven!! We never understand the loss of our young loved ones, but God has the answers. Matthew 10:30 says that every hair on our heads are numbered & Ecclesiastes 3 says that there is a time & a place & a reason & season for everything under the Heavens. The verse also says that there is a time to be born & a time to die & our names must be written in God's book, as it is in His timing. Larry will certainly be missed along with all his talents, but we shall all meet again in God's timing. He was a great guy!!

Ken , Vi , and all of the Bartholomew family. Larry was a super person , as are all of the Bartholomew's . I moved here in 1992 and they have always been friends , and it was always a pleasure seeing them , and talking with Larry , and all the family.
