Leon Pentelow Obituary
February 3, 1927 - November 14, 2018
PLYMOUTH - Leon K. Pentelow, age 91 of Plymouth, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
Leon was born on Feb. 3, 1927, in Plymouth, to Clyde W. and Ilo Ruth (Mead) Pentelow.
Leon married the former Mary Alyce Ruff on Nov. 22, 1947.
He worked his way up from shipping and receiving to head of maintaince for Montgomery Wards. He enjoyed fishing, especially fly fishing, and liked going to Nappanee looking for locks and keys to add to his collection. Leon will be fondly remembered by all who loved him.
Those left to cherish Leon's memory are his loving wife, Mary Alyce Pentelow of Plymouth; his sons, Lynn Pentelow of Plymouth and James and Mary Pentelow of Argos; and sister-in-law, Joyce Roush of Plymouth. Leon was further blessed with two grandchildren, Amy and Clint Spriggs and David and Kristina Pentelow; his great-grandchildren, Baylee, Brett, Julia (Ryan) Hechlinski, Daria, Kassidy and Samantha; and one great-great-grandson, Holden.
Leon was preceded in passing by his brothers, Clyde I. Pentelow and Richard E. Pentelow.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for the Pentelow family.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, in the Van Gilder Funeral Home from, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, Nov. 19, at New Oak Hill Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 50 E. 91st Street #100 Indianapolis, Ind. 46240

Sorry to hear of Leon's passing, I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.
