Lianne Marie Cooper
August 30, 1960 - October 6, 2016
Lianne passed away at the Royal University Hospital after a short but intense fight with cancer. She was predeceased by her mother, Maxine Kowbel and an infant brother, Michael Cooper. Lianne is survived by her son, Christopher Boucher, her granddaughter, Raelin Nesvold, father, Gary Cooper, stepmother, Della Cooper, siblings, Carolyn, Curtis (Denine), and Sandra (Bernie) Cooper, stepbrothers, Parker and Joel (Teal) Fiddler, nieces, Jasmine, Setra, and Brooklyn, nephew, Jared, and many relatives and friends. Lianne owned and operated an interior tropical plant maintenance business "Planteriors" for the past 30 years. She had a creative touch in the selection, placement and care of the plants, always using natural non-toxic products and insect solutions to combat infestations and disease that can occur. Lianne was very opposed to the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides. She also worked in the health care industry at several of the local care homes. Lianne had a great love for the North and its flora and fauna, bringing home samples of ferns and other plants after each trip to the family cabin at Wadin bay. She was an excellent photographer, with an eye for the beauty of the world's living plants and animals, and the natural habitat, especially that of the North. Her other great pleasures ... blues and jazz music, singing, attending concerts with her friends, and sitting around a campfire. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. Services will be held at the Saskatoon Funeral Home on Saturday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m.

When we were sent south due to the fire in 2015, the space at Lianne's pad was all you needed to get in touch with nature. A bit of LA, Wadin Bay and many places in-between were transported to her place in the city. Will surely miss our visits, yet I know you are still with me in spirit, like your presence has been for over 40 years now.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've known Lianne through work and we've shared a lot of good stories over the years that I've known her. She was funny, kind and a very compassionate warm-hearted woman and she'll be missed by all of us who had the gift of knowing her.
