MILO - Lloyd G. Johnston, 91, husband of the late Gertrude (Gilbert) Johnston, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, in Waterville. He was born July 6, 1923, in Toronto, Ontario, the son of William and Sarah Florence (Gray) Johnston.

An Army Air Corps veteran, Lloyd had served in Italy during World War II. He retired from the Canadian Pacific and Bangor and Aroostook Railroads after 30 years. He was a member of the Pleasant River Lodge No. 163 in Brownville, and Rabboni Chapter No. 62 in Milo.

Lloyd is survived by two sons, Scott Johnston and his wife, Tina, of Milo, and Steve Johnston and his wife, Connie, of Waterville; six grandchildren, Ben Johnston and his wife, Jennifer, of Acworth, GA, Molly Johnston and her husband, Brian Koresh of Silver City, NM, Holly Rogalinski and her husband, Troy, and their children, Hailey and Shane, of Milo, Jason Brown and his wife, Kelly, and their children, Alexis, Dylan, and Ethan, of Bristol, CT, Carrie Maxwell and her husband, Scott, and their children, Austin, Jay, Paul, Morrigan and Paige, of Waterville, and Stephanie Hurd and her husband, Ryan, and their children, Kaybren and Khloe, of Milo. Lloyd will also be remembered by a special niece, Darlene Helger and her husband, Edward. He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude, and a brother, Mervyn Johnston.

A graveside funeral service with military honors will be conducted 11am Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating. After the service all are invited to share fellowship and memories at the American Legion Hall, 18 W Main St., Milo. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Joseph P. Chaisson American Legion Post No. 41, PO Box 177, Milo 04463. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Condolences may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
