LOEWENTHAL, Dr. Lois Anne Dr. Lois Anne Loewenthal, 80, of Minor Brook Dr., Middletown died on Thursday, (April 12, 2007) at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown she was the daughter of the late George H. and Jane Isabelle (Wilson) Loewenthal. She was a Professor at the University of Michigan from 1954-1982, an avid golfer and loved to travel. She is survived by one sister, Jane M. Loewenthal of Pompano Beach, FL; two nieces, Laura O'Brien of Tarzana, CA and Deborah Harrison of Long Beach, CA; one nephew, George Loewenthal, III, of Sun Valley, CA; one grand niece, Lindsay Harrison of Long Beach, CA and several cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, George H. Loewenthal, Jr and one sister, Olive Loewenthal. A graveside service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, South Main St., Middletown on Wednesday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Norm Erlendson officiating. There will be no call ing hours. In lieu of flowers con tributions may be made in her memory to Weiss Hospice Unit, c/o Dept. of Philanthropy, 55 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457, www.middlesexhospi tal.org/donate or Third Congre gational Church, 94 Miner St., Middletown, CT 06457. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at the website of www.doolittlefuneralser vice.com. Doolittle Funeral Ser vice, 14 Old Church St., Middle town, is in charge of arrange ments.
