Lorraine Deuter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 19, 2017.
Lorraine A. Deuter, 96, of Bryan, passed away June 17th at Generations for Senior Living in Bryan. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 20th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the College Station Cemetery.
Lorraine was born July 26, 1920 in Chicago, Il., the daughter of Clarence and Mae Reader. After she retired from the Glidden Paint Company, she and her husband Carleton (Carl) moved to Bryan in 1982, where they made their home at Briarcrest Golf Course. Both being avid golfers, they started each day playing nine holes. In addition to golf, Lorraine enjoyed crossword puzzles and dancing. She was a lifelong Catholic and attended Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Center in College Station. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; family was everything and spending time with them was when she was happiest.
Mrs. Deuter was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Bottorff in 1968 and then by second husband Carl Deuter in 1999. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce A. Pirwitz and her husband Don of College Station; two grandchildren, Cheryl Middleton and her husband Douglas of Brenham, Dr. Mark Pirwitz and his wife Christine of Austin; three great grandchildren, Lauren Middleton, Ryan Middleton, and Devyn Pirwitz.
The family would like to thank the staff at Generations for Senior Living and Hospice Brazos Valley for their exceptional care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 West 26th Street, Bryan, TX 77803.
