Margaret Helen Heuer Booth

Margaret Helen Heuer Booth, 82, of Courtdale, passed away, Sunday, July 18, 2021, at her home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Emlyn and Helen Kompa Heuer and was a graduate of Coughlin High School.

Margaret was a former member of The Parsons Primitive Methodist Church and later a member of Laurel Run Primitive Methodist Church. While at the Parsons Primitive Methodist Church, she was a choir member and Sunday School teacher as well as a member of the ladies aide. She was also on the Board of Trustees.

Margaret was a telephone operator with Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for more than 20 years before her retirement. Following her retirement, Margaret began working with the foster grandparent program of Luzerne County with State Street Elementary School. Margaret loved being with her teachers and all of the students through the years. She loved being "Grandma" to all of them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Booth, in 2018; and a brother, Glen Heuer.

Surviving is her son, Walter J. Booth Jr., Colorado; and her daughters, Jean Branas and her husband, Michael, Swoyersville, Virginia Midkiff and her husband, David, Courtdale; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Dr. K. Gene Carroll officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time.
