THIEBAUD
MARGARET L.
Age 87, of Zelienople, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community. Born October 16, 1926, in Putneyville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Mary (Nolf) Buffington. Margaret was a lifelong member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church. During World War II, she worked in a munitions factory as "Rosie the Riveter." An avid hunter, Margaret discovered her passion for the sport at an early age by accompanying her father and brother. Along with her husband, she owned and operated an antique business and together they traveled extensively buying and selling antiques. Margaret enjoyed attending sporting events at Seneca Valley to cheer on her children and grandchildren, and cherished the summers spent with them at Canadohta Lake. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great- grandmother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. She is survived by her two children, Denise (Dr. Dennis) English of Pittsburgh and John (Sandy) Thiebaud of Butler; her three sisters, Dolores LaSota, Ruth Evans and Abby Domhoff; her six granddaughters, Erin (Andrea) English, Rachel (Chris) Tamanini, Brittany (Rich) Carter, Sarah Thiebaud, Justine Thiebaud, Ashley Thiebaud; and her great-granddaughter, Lilliana Tamanini. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul J. Thiebaud, who passed away on July 21, 2012; her sisters, Joann Roberts, Helen Buffington and Mary Claudine Blum; and her brothers, Clair, Gene, James, Robert "Red" and Dan Buffington. Margaret's family will welcome friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 324 E. Grandview Avenue, Zelienople. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh Street, Zelienople, with Rev. Wilfred Goetze, officiating. (Friends Please Meet at Church). If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her honor in support of Passavant Benevolent Fund/LAS Foundation, 401 S. Main Street, Zelienople, PA 16063. John, Denise and family, Sorry to hear about your mother's passing. John, one thing I will always remember about her, when she would come over to pick up cabinets she would always comment about the country ride on Brownsdale Road. She would say, I'll be there in 45 minutes and show up in 44 ½ minutes. I could set my watch by her. Blessings to all of you. Dan Steinmiller

Sorry to hear about your mother. It has been a long time since I've seen any of you. We moved to north carolina in 2001. We lived in the house beside Eugene an Doris. She is now with her soul mate. May they rest in peace together.
