Marie Keithley

Marie "Betty" E. Keithley, 84, a 17-year resi dent of the Heritage Harbour development of Annapolis and previously of Adelphi for 37 years, died of natural causes Dec. 9, 2009 at Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 3, 1925, in Washington, D.C., she graduated from McKinley Tech High School in Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Keithley was employed as a bookkeeper for Keithley Patent Drafting Services, Inc. until she retired in 2003. Her hobbies included crocheting, playing Mah Jong with her friends and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Keithley Jr., who died in 1991.

Survivors include her children, Gwenn Marie of Borrego Springs, Calif., and Steve Keithley of Huntingtown; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to Marie's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. Interment will be private.
