Marie E. Prestidge

Marie E. Prestidge, 82, of Lufkin, was born November 27, 1924, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Mary (Melans) and Chris Psaradelis. She passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in a local hospital. Mrs. Prestidge was a homemaker, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had resided in Lufkin since 1979. She was a lifetime member of D.A.V. No. 84 and the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. Mrs. Prestidge was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Don Arledge of San Marcos; son and daughter-in-law, James C., Jr. and Charlotte Prestidge of Schertz; son, John W. Prestidge of Lufkin; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brothers; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Mrs. Prestidge was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Prestidge, Sr., in 1999. Graveside services for Mrs. Prestidge will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 in the Silver Lake Cemetery near Mineola.
