Marvin Ritchie Obituary

Marvin G. Ritchie, 88, of Florence, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008. He was a native of Colbert County and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles David and Georgia Ann Ritchie; sons, Marlos, Hoyt and Gary Ritchie; brothers, Paul, J.D., Carl, Glover and Herbert Ritchie.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ritchie; sons, Ron and Donnie Ritchie; daughters, Debbie Thompson, Judy Doss, Shirley Ralph and Kathy Ritchie; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Dial, Marlos Ritchie, Bud Peden, Mike Ritchie, Terri Guest, Mikey Taylor, Bobby Sledge and Bobby Stonecipher. Honorary pallbearers will be James Fuller, Mr. Holder, David Ritchie and Ralph Putman.

Arrangements by Greenview Funeral Home.
