Mary ALDRIDGE

ALDRIDGE (nee Griffith), Mary Alice Age 93, of Fairfield passed away Saturday, January 06, 2018. She was born December 23, 1924 in Cedartown, GA, the daughter of the late Roy Cecil and Lillie Marteal Griffith (nee Williams). Mary Alice was employed by the South Eastern Shipbuilding Company from 1943-1945 where she was a welder. She welded Liberty Ships during World War II and was very proud of this accomplishment. Mary Alice is survived by her children, Wayne (Melinda) Aldridge and Linda Johnson; grandchildren, Jared (Elizabeth) Aldridge, Philip Aldridge, Adrienne (Brandon) Miller, Sarah Johnson; great grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Ethan, Joseph, Hannah, and William. She is preceded in death by her husband Claud Aldridge and her 4 siblings. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. January 12, 2018 at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, 45014. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Cecil Day officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens 2145 Compton Rd. 45231.
