NEW BEDFORD -- Mary (Sylvia) Boyle passed away Monday, January 15, 2007, at home. She was 88 years of age. Mrs. Boyle was the wife of the late William J. Boyle. She is survived by her son, Martin W. Boyle of Texas, and her daughter, Kristina Flood and her husband, Bernard of New Bedford. She was the sister of the late John C. Sylvia. Mrs. Boyle also leaves behind her 3 grandchildren; Shane K. Boyle of Hawaii, Devin D. Flood of New Bedford, Meghan Flood also of New Bedford, and 2 great grandchildren, Geoffrey and Aiden.
Mrs. Boyle was born in New Bedford, Mass. She was the daughter of the late John C. Sylvia and Zulmira (Georges) Sylvia. Mrs. Boyle lived here most of her life, spending 3-4 years in Michigan. She worked as a sales clerk at Keystone Furniture and Saltmarshes.
According to her wishes, Mrs. Boyle will be cremated. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., at 9:30 AM.
