Michael David Reece

Michael David Reece New Tazewell - Michael D. Reece of Tazewell, TN found his eternal peace on Friday, May 19th, 2023. In the days, weeks, and years to come Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious smile, and his inherently good nature that provided joy to so many lives. He was a pillar of strength to the people that knew him best and deeply loved his family. Michael lived the majority of his life in Claiborne County, and could see no other place as his home. He was an outstanding athlete growing up excelling at numerous sports and upon graduation received a football scholarship to Tennessee Wesleyan University. He then enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. Michael married Jody Ann Parker on December 17th, 1989. The high school sweethearts welcomed two sons to this union, Alan and Alex. The source of his greatest pride were his boys. Michael was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who loved being outside with nature. He forged many unforgettable memories with countless individuals on the lake.

Michael leaves behind; his father (Mike), his mother (Alma), his sons (Alan & Alex), his granddaughters (Eleanor, Ruth & Reagan), his brother (Robbie) and a host of relatives and friends. Michael would want those who loved him to replace their sorrow with the reflection of fond memories shared together and to know that he lived his life to the fullest.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11AM in the Irish Memorial Gardens

Rev, Gary Miller will be officiating. Kelly Shipe will be playing the bagpipes.
