Ret. MSgt. U.S.A.F., Michael Joseph Remily, 80, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
A vigil service will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by a family visitation until 8 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Rev. Jonathan Demma, celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
A son of the late Orville and Ann (Morris) Remily, Michael was born on October 19, 1941 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force, retiring with 20 years as MSgt. He went on to work with Civil Service at SAFB, retiring again with 20 years of service.
Michael married the love of his life, Darlene Wooten, on October 3, 1966. Michael and Darlene enjoyed many happy years traveling all over the world. He was a longtime member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW. Michael enjoyed fishing, bowling, and working with wood, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Wooten Remily; his children, Cheri Remily of Dallas, Michelle Remily of SAFB, Angela Remily and partner Lee Puyear of Holliday; his siblings, Gay Kelsey, Don Remily, Mariln Lochner, his twin sister, Myra Remily, Mark Remily, and Janelle Remily; his grandsons, William Simpson of Archer City, and Jake Simpson and partner Payton Anderson of Henrietta; great-grandchildren, Casyn Simpson of Archer City, Braylynn Anderson and Baylor Simpson both of Henrietta; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.

My condolences to Mikes family, I was stationed at Thule Air Force Base Greenland, 1983rd Comm Squadron with Mike in 1968, We grew up 15 miles from each other in South Dakota , we attended church together as well as worked together,
