Molly Lucero

Molly Lucero, 86, of Clovis, NM died Monday, February 10, 2014, at her home in Clovis. Rosary will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Pallbearers include Adan Martinez, Josh Guerra, Gabriel Borunda, Derrick Lekovich, Gabriel Guerra and Frank Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers will be Xavier Gutierrez, Nick Lekovich, Orlando Martinez-Lucero, Ben Guerra, and Anthony Guerra.
Molly was born June 25, 1927, to Sotero and Sarita Garcia in Dahlia, NM. She worked as a Secretary for the Senior Citizen Center and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, playing Bingo, dancing, and raising her children.
Survivors include her four daughters, Tina Mendoza of Tyler, TX, Bernice (Tony) Gutierrez, Lucille Guerra of Clovis, NM, and Connie (Gabriel) Borunda of Tyler, TX; two sons, Johnny (Kay) Lucero and Leon (Stephanie) Lucero of Clovis, NM; daughter-in-law, Mable Lucero of Clovis, NM; brother, Isidro (Rose) Garcia of Clovis, NM; 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Henry Lucero and Gerald Lucero; two daughters, Patsy Vieyra and Terry Cruz; grandson, Ramon Guerra; and great-grandson, Jake Gutierrez.
