Nell Ramsey Obituary
Nell was born in Simpson County on December 25, 1932 to Annie L. Wigington and William O. Jones. She attended Clem School and upon its closure, attended Prentiss High, where she graduated.
Nell married Edward Ramsey and together they had two children. She worked at the federal Social Security Administration for several years, receiving numerous awards for service excellence. Nell was a longtime, faithful member of First Assembly of God in Jackson. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Nell is survived by her children, Eddie Ramsey (Deborah) and Marcia Gail “Sissy” Reeves (Mike); grandchildren, Jeff Haggard, Trey Ramsey (Angie), Jake Ramsey (Lauren), Bo Ramsey, Steven Reeves, and Michael Reeves (Kim); ten great grandchildren; brother, Robert Neil Jones (Joyce), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl on Thursday, December 28 at 2:00 pm, with visitation preceding from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Rev. Scott Davis will be officiating.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Nell was a very kind/intelligent lady. She was my first mentor when I was employed by the Social Security Administration in Jackson (1982), and I always appreciated her knowledge of agency policy, her compassion for serving the public, and most of all her patience as a mentor and teacher. I likely would not be where I am today if not for the foundation she helped me establish early on in my career. God Bless her.
