Newby Ellington was an unwavering leader, both in Espanola and in Los Alamos during his tenure with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was more importantly a role model for his wonderful family, a mentor, and a friend to many Warehouse, Materials Management, and Procurement personnel. Newby was indeed highly respected by senior laboratory management, and by literally thousands of co-workers who were positively influenced by Newby over the full 40-year course of his dedicated service. All who knew Newby will miss him.

During my 20 years of employment in procurement at LANL and having Newby in upper management where I worked, I remember him as a good and humble man; a great supervisor, very knowledgeable, and professional. May you find comfort and peace knowing Newby is out of his pain now. Hold on to the dear memories he left with each and every one of you. God Bless You and your family.
