Born in Vasto, Italy 8th March 1930. Loving and devoted husband of 61 years to Clotilde, beautiful father to Anna Maria, Rose and Michael. Father-in-law to Domenico, Albert and Vicki. Devoted Nonno to 7 and Bis Nonno to 10. Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on 22nd October 2014 at SCGH. Riposa in pace sempre nel nostro cuore.

To my loving and beautiful husband. We have been married for 61 years, brought up three beautiful children and built a life together in Australia. You were always working hard to support us in having a wonderful and fulfilling life with our seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
I watched you suffer, it made me cry, and all I could do was sit close by. You went away, we had to part, God eased your pain but broke my heart.
Just because you are now in God's arms does not mean I will stop loving you. I will miss you and I will never forget how lucky I was to have you as my husband. Love you always and forever, Clotilde.

Dearest Dad, after a long battle, in your own gentle way you passed so quietly with us by your side. You tried so hard, never complained and didn't want to burden anyone. Our pain and sorrow is immeasurable right now, but we are comforted by the memories of such a wonderful life you and Mum had together. Dad, we are so lucky to have had you as our perfect role model and gentle guiding hand. Commitment to family always came first. For you, life was about the love you gave and the things you did for us and not about anything material we may or may not have. If something couldn't be done with integrity, then it wasn't worth doing. Dad as father and daughter, we went through a lot, I will cherish those occasions forever. Thank you for being a loving father to me. As tears slowly dry, forever in my heart you will live on Dad.
Dad thank you for being a wonderful father-in-law. I will cherish all the good times we shared together, both at work and at play. Now you are gone but not forgotten. You will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. Forever in our hearts, Anna Maria and Domenico.

Dad, with your big and beautiful blue eyes and the way you held our hand so tight we could see your pain and suffering and saw the anguish in your expressions but could do no more. Whilst it is difficult to accept your loss, you were courageous to the end and in heaven you rest. Though your smile has gone forever and your hand I cannot touch we still have many fond memories of the one we loved so much. Your strong family values, work ethic and care for people have been passed onto us and now form part of our life. Your memories are my keepsake with which we will never part. How do we say goodbye to such an amazing Dad and Nonno. Our love for you is everlasting. Your smile, laughter and unconditional love you gave us will never be forgotten. Our hearts are aching but you are at peace now. Thank you for being you. A best friend and loving father to your son, a father-in-law that was cherished and a loving and devoted Nonno. With all the memories that you have left us you will never truly be gone as you will always be alive in our hearts. Every morning I will have my coffee like we always did together knowing that you will always be right there beside me.

In loving memory of our very special Nonno and Bis Nonno, a little man with a very large caring heart filled with much love and joy, always ready to lend a helping hand with a cheerful smile. God closed your eyes to ease your pain, to wish you back would be in vain. You suffered so much you told so few, You did not deserve what you went through. Tired and weary you made no fuss, but tried so hard to stay with us. No more suffering, no more pain, Thank you God for calling his name. Now in God's garden may you rest in peace.

Nonno, words can't describe the pain we feel now, our hearts are saddened but minds are at peace knowing your pain is over and you can rest in peace. Nothing and I mean nothing was ever too much for you, as kids whatever we asked for you did it, as adults we didn't even need to ask, you were always there. Fondest memories of being kids and playing at the park, climbing the tree, scopa, checkers, the list goes on, beautiful days that will always be cherished. Most importantly in the games and everyday events you taught us life lessons, respect and did it with all your heart and love. It breaks my heart that for everything you did for me, I couldn't take some of your pain in recent years and these last days.
In God's garden you can now rest, where you can be in the garden all day and night like you used to. Water to your hearts content without being told to turn the water off, and reap the best herbs and vegetables to feed all the angels and saints. I love you so much, and wish I didn't have to write these words. You will be sadly missed and in our thoughts and hearts always. Love you Non.

Your soul is now at peace with The Lord above, And forever in our hearts you will be remembered with much love.
Your caring nature and disposition showed to us your love ran deep, which has left us now with many fond memories of you that forever more will be ours to keep.

We were blessed to have had you as our Nonno/Bis-Nonno. Nonno Cole, as a little girl I would never let you out of my sight and at the very end when the angels came to take you it was the same. To the world you were but one, but to me you were my world. You have taught me how to be strong, loving, and respectful and have left me with so many fond memories and traditions. I will never forget all the time we spent together every day after school, you always made sure I had something to eat, drink and no matter how hard of a day you had you would take me down to the park. Although my heart is in pieces, I know you are in a better place and are suffering no more. Until the day we meet again I leave you with this, see you in heaven Nonno, and greet me with a kiss. Now go and sing and do the twist, like we did in our days. Ciao Nonno, love you forever and always. Susanna, Joseph, Gianni and Georgia.

Our hearts broke as you took your last breath but we find comfort in knowing you are now in a better place free of pain. You were the best Nonno anyone could ask for, we will miss your cheeky smile, bright blue eyes and vege patch tours! May your kind gentle soul rest in peace. To our dearest Nonno. We have been very blessed to have such a kind hearted and fun loving Nonno in our lives. Your infectious smile and your cheeky antics make us so proud to call you our Nonno.
