Norma Clark Radford, 79 of Raleigh, died Sunday morning, February 09, 2014 at Wake Med. A Service of Celebration and Resurrection will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday at St. James UMC, Raleigh, with Interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
A native of Raleigh Norma was the daughter of the late George Thurman Clark and Mildred Thomas Clark. Norma loved life and dedicated her almost 80 years to her family and many, many friends. She was a voracious reader, an acute student of history, and enjoyed dining out weekly with her many friends. She found great pleasure in keeping up with the lives of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Norma loved life and met life's situations with strength and laughter.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lee Radford and son Bill "Chip" Lee Radford, Jr. She is survived by brother, Daniel & Nancy Clark of Raleigh; sister, Nancy Lee & David Isley of Reidsville; brother, Robert T. & Rebecca Clark of New Bern; son, David & Stephanie Radford of Raleigh; daughter , Kris & Kenneth Workmen of Morehead City; son, Jack R. Radford & Susan Rutkowski Fuller of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Tanga Radford of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Judy Winton Squires of Burgaw; and family of her heart, Rose McCauley, Jimmy McCauley, Jeannie and Steve Betts. Norma found joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Heather Radford; Cameron Radford; Caitlin and Alex Colvin; Alex Radford; Samantha Radford; and Caitlin Fuller; and great grandchildren, Riley and Noah Colvin.
