MONTEMURRI, Osvaldo "Ozzie"
Son, husband, father, grandfather
"OUR HERO"
Ozzie was born on December 14, 1936 to Vincenza and Ercole Montemurri in Gagliano Aterno, Italy. In March 1949 the family left Italy aboard the S.S. Vulcania to begin a new life in Canada. Ozzie met his future wife Carol (nee Graham) at Mariotti's Restaurant in 1956 and they were married on October 15, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church. They had three beautiful children; Lisa Brigida (Anthony Giannini), Diana Lynn and Lino (Liz D'Agostini).
Family was everything to Ozzie, memories of "together times" will give us the strength we need to move forward. Through the years his pride and joy came with the birth of each of his adoring grandchildren. Lisa had three sons, Phillip, Ozzie, Nicolas and step daughter Aleisha. Diana a son Tarek and Lino two daughters Vanessa, Alessia and son Michael to carry on the Montemurri name.
Ozzie will be remembered by many loving relatives and friends from Windsor as well as Hamilton and Michigan. Ozzie enjoyed many good years with his co-workers at the Windsor Separate School Board.
If you so desire, donations to Transition to Betterness would be appreciated by the family. A private family service was held on Monday, October 20, 2014 as per Ozzie's request. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Dr.). Arrangements entrusted to Families First Funeral Home, please contact
