Pat hired me as one of the first employees at the Adult Development Center ( we were still at the church on Winchester Ave.) She was the heart and soul of our program and I learned first hand her personal commitment to the DD community. Hope became the driving force in the Rehabilitation community and my time at Hope was the most rewarding time of my professional life-when it came to advocacy for the Developmental Disabled she was surely a force to be reckoned with.

Mrs. Hobbs worked as the face and the voice of HOPE for 22 years. She was instrumental in groundbreaking legislation, advocated for the DD population in all aspects of their lives, and grew the HOPE organization from 35 clients to the biggest organization of its kind in the Western US.
If not for her dedication, HOPE Services as we know it would not exist.
