Paul Edward Roughton

Paul Edward Roughton, 47, of Castle Hayne, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born August 28, 1970 to Barney and Mary Roughton.
He graduated from E.A. Laney High School in 1988. Paul was a talented craftsman who was meticulous in his work. He was artistic, enjoyed music, gardening, and cooking. Paul was an easy-going, fun loving, free spirit whose laughter lit up a room. He was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor. Paul was one with nature and enjoyed the outdoors and all it had to offer. His family, friends, and faithful four-legged friend Lucille will miss him dearly. As we mourn the loss of such a kind hearted soul, we pray for peace and happiness as he rests with our Lord in heaven.
In addition to his parents Paul is survived by his significant other Lisa McCabe; two brothers: Jimmy Roughton and wife Kimberley and Stephen Roughton; special Aunt Linda Ray Panfili; and nieces Heather and Kelly.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 2PM at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kane McKenzie officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30PM until 2PM. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
