Hello Polly, we have so many good things in mind when we think to you and John. When you welcome me in 78 and loved me as a member of your family. I had a great time sharing you, drinking orange juice and getting my driver license.Then we managed to meet as many time as it was possible, on my way to Canada, on your way first to Belgium ( twice) and to Germany ( where I joined you with Pierre-Olivier), or home, in Texas, with Nadia, Katia, Pierre-Olivier and Letizia. You welcome so dearly Nadia and her father some time later. All that and more stays in our mind and in our heart and now we hope, we know you are in peace. We love you, Polly, and we do love you also John. De tout notre coeur, Etienne,Nadia, Pierre-Olivier, Katia and Letizia.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Nash Family during this difficult time. I have so many memories of Mrs. Nash, swimming in their pool, hearing her laugh and during the younger years her shuttling Martha and I to many different places. I remember my family and I eating at Greenery Station and we always knew we were getting the best meal of the day!! Memories are the best way to keep those we have lost close to our hearts.

Tiller. My grandmother and Granny Fawcus were the best of friends and growing up I always her Mrs. Fawcus speak with love of her Polly and family. I was looking at the slide show and I know what a special person she was and I am so sorry for your loss.

My prayers are with the Nash family! Such a wonderful woman who was a star in my life. I admired the family and how they made everyone feel so welcomed. I use to work at Greenery Station in highschool and remember such happy times there. May the LORD keep you strong!

Tom and I had the pleasure of meeting your mother when she visited for Polly's retirement. She joined us for cookie day and spent time visiting with Tom's grandmother. She did share a very special light with everyone she touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Her spirit lives on through all of you.

Dear Martha and family,

My heart goes out to you during this time. I have such fond memories of the many sleep-overs at your home in Glen Cove and the genuine hospitality always shown by your parents. I still have the book they gave me as a graduation gift in 1986. The hand-written note by Mrs. Nash is proof of the love they gave to all who walked into their home and into the lives of their children.

I pray you find comfort during this time.

Polly was a wonderful matriarch of a truly amazing, strong, and diverse family and they made me feel as though I was a part of that. Since my Dad passed away just a year prior to my senior year in high school, it was a genuine honor to be chosen as the 1st recipient of the Kenneth Nash Music Scholarship. I can remember them presenting it to me with tears of joy from all 3 of us as though it were yesterday (no small feat for this 50 year old brain!).

John and Polly took a sincere interest in my life. Working at the Greenery Station as a hostess when they 1st opened... well, it wasn't like working FOR them, it was like working WITH them. That's just how they were. However, I don't think any sadness came when they decided we didn't have to wear the long old west style dresses any more!!

My heart goes out to all of the extended Nash family. I hope that the wonderful memories and the tributes posted on here will lift you up as you go through this difficult time. Although, the world will be a lesser place for not having her living on it, Heaven is enriched by her presence there. I'm sure it was a glorious entrance when she meet our Heavenly Father! I am a Beta Sister with Teri and Naomi and my husband and I are good friends of Teri and John. I had to good fortune to meet Polly at our "Mother's Day Teas" over the years and at other family gatherings and you could always see the special glow of her personality, she was obviously so beloved by all who know her. My condolences to the Nash family for their loss. Naomi, after being a co-worker and friend for 15 years I think I can see where you get such vibrance for life. One of our fondest memories is of visiting the Nash home to get information for our new Valentine Queen, Naomi. (You want the scoop, as Mr Nash said and looked at Polly to tell all) My husband, Chuck, and I heard a lifetime of stories and looked at wonderful family pictures for hours. We laughed so hard our sides hurt by the time we left, and we really did not want to leave. We could have stayed all night and I think Polly would have fixed us breakfast in the morning. You got that warm feeling being around them. As her pictures indicate, she was always smiling and we will truly miss that smile (and her white bathrobe at the Hawaiin brunch). She was a delightful lady and we feel so blessed to have known her.
