Pete Mansfield Obituary
Born Feb. 25, 1940 in Chardon, he was the son of Vernon and Irene (Sisson) Mansfield.
Pete was a lifelong area resident, who enjoyed bowling, watching NASCAR, going to sales, taxing Amish and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
He drove truck at Hoffman Oil in Chardon, drove and owned Ashland Oil in Burton and his last employment was driving for Geauga Mechanical in Chardon. Pete attended the Delightful Evangelical Church in Southington, was a member of the Boiler Makers Union 714 and was a 20 year Geauga County Fair Board Member.
He will be missed by his family and friends, including his wife, the former Elaine Matthews; children Terri (Steve) Balko and Rodney Mansfield, both of Middlefield, Kimberly Mansfield Martell of Chardon, Brian Lee of Canton and Mike Lee of Columbus. Pete had nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also two sisters, Jo Ann Matthews of Mesopotamia and Jean Ann Walworth of Hobart, Ind. survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Gary.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Service, 15670 West High St. (Rt. 87), Middlefield, Ohio.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Middlefield Cemetery.

I can remember riding in his truck with with him and Rodney. Only went with him once, but it was something I will never forget. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
