DALLAS - Peter "Pete" Joseph Nicoletti, 71, went to be with his lady on March 22, 2015, in the company of his family.

He was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Clinton, Mass. On June 27, 1964 he married his princess and lady, Patricia M. Nicoletti, and was her superman and life for 45 years.

He was a man with an immense spirit for life. His energy and grace influenced the lives of others as a companion, a mentor, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a businessman and a foster parent to many of Gaston County's youth. His integrity and convictions were evident within his guidance of all those that entered his life.

As a manager and consultant in the textile industry, Peter assisted in the advancement of fire retardant material for clothing and furnishing. Additionally, he was a member of St. Michaels Catholic church where he was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus.

Known as "Grandfather" to most just signifies his love for family and children. With Grandfather no one ever needed for food, clothing, comfort, guidance or an abundance of love. His strength and tranquility carries through in each and everyone one that he encountered. His compassion for the well being of children was his trademark.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Nicoletti, and his wife Patricia M. Nicoletti.

He is survived by his sisters, Marie Butler and Frances Butler of Worcester, MA; daughter, Melissa A. Nicoletti; Son and daughter-in-law, Frank V. and Beth M. Nicoletti; daughter, Cynthia M. Nicoletti and son, Adam M. Nicoletti; grandchildren, Martha N. and husband, Chris Agee, David M. Bradley, Kalya M. Burch, Peter J. Nicoletti, Joseph A. Burch and Breanna M. Nicoletti; great-grandchildren, Gavyn, Annsantaria, and Lariya.

Grandfather,

Wow, five years. Five years in reality does not seem like a lot of time but it's been a very crucial time in my life. I've grown into the women you always knew I could. You left me so much love and wisdom. You also left me my best friend. Your princess Breanna Michelle. Together we've tackled life without you and we've done it with the kindness you left in our hearts. Thank you for being my favorite person. For loving the little girl across the street even when I wasn't across the street anymore. In 5 more years I hope to still
be a women who makes you proud. You are forever in my heart, forever in my spirit, and forever in my life through Breanna. I love you and will always cherish every lesson I learned. Thanks for adopting me into the family and making me your forever granddaughter.

I love you,
Love,
Lexi (Granddaughter)

today marks five years and two days.
when you first passed I had no idea how I would make it without you. you were my bestfriend, there was nothing we couldn't talk about. though out the years so much has changed. although, one thing hasn't & that's the friendship you made me have with alexis jade. I now see why you pushed us so hard to be friends. you knew that you had to make sure we always had someone and now we do.
we love sitting and just telling stories while sharing our memories.
we've both became such better people because of you.
you will forever be in our hearts and we are so thankful for you.
we miss you more and more every year.

xoxo, baby doll
