Peter J. Rudnicky active in Leominster community, WWII vet; 91 LEOMINSTER Peter J. Rudnicky, 91, died Thursday, August 27, at Health Alliance Leominster Hospital, after a long illness. He was born on May 28, 1918, in Kerny, NJ, the son of the late Leon and Sophie (Kulikowska) Rudnicky. Mr. Rudnicky leaves his wife, Juliette (Fife) Rudnicky; three sons, Peter Rudnicky of Pepperell, David Rudnicky of Leominster, and James Rudnicky of Williamsburg, VA; two grandchildren, Christopher and Meghan Rudnicky both of Williamsburg, VA. Mr. Rudnicky worked for over 40 years at Foster Grant Company retiring as a sales manager, he was a founding member and former Chairman of the Board at Pyralart Credit Union in Leominster. He was avid in many sports and played for The Leominster Comits and their Basketball and Baseball team, He played semi-Professional Baseball in the area, was a manager for his sons teams in the North Leominster Little League, was a member and golfer at Manoosnock Country Club in Leominster, was a founding member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster, and a life member of The Leominster Lodge of Elks #1237. He was a avid Red Sox, Celtics, and New England Patriots Fan. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Catharine Rudnicky, Anne Cutting, Leon Rudnicky, Josephine Rudnicky, and John Rudnicky. Mr. Rudnicky was a Veteran of WWII serving in The United States Army with The 815 Aviation Engineering Battalion, from 1942 to 1945 he received the EAMETCR with seven battle stars, Good Conduct Medal, he organized several reunions for his fellow veterans and veterans came from all over the country. RUDNICKY The Funeral will be held on Monday, (Aug. 31) from the Curley-Marchand Funeral Home 89 West St., Leominster, with a Mass at 12 (noon) in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling Hours at the Funeral home will be on Sunday from 4-7 PM and on Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations, may be made in his memory to Our Lady of the Lake Church and may be left at the Funeral Home.
